Just like humans, animals inevitably sustain wounds throughout their lives.
They heal their wounds themselves and continue to live.
From each wound, I feel that scars are proof and history of the animal's life.
To be grateful for the life given and to use it without wasting even a little.
This is my mission as someone involved in the leather industry.
This wounded anaconda leather will be
reborn into an injured and weakened fish.

In 2012, with Spec of 343 DENIIRO and Spec of 278 PATIINO covered in python skin, we discovered a certain characteristic.
It exhibited a shivering I-shaped movement at low speeds and an S-shaped movement at high speeds.
We hypothesized that at low speeds, the scales would stand up in the water, causing water to wrap behind them, resulting in an I-shape, while at high speeds, the scales would lie flat due to water pressure, leading to an S-shaped movement.
In flowing water, fish can remain in the same spot without swimming strenuously, perhaps due to the reverse flow created behind their upright scales.
Since anaconda scales and leather are thicker and more robust than python,
we produced the Spec of 343 DENIIRO with anaconda skin, anticipating how much this characteristic would be amplified.

-ANACONDA-
The largest snake species found in South America.
It has large, black, polka-dot-like markings on an olive-green body from head to tail.
Each scale is large, and the leather is thick and robust.
This matte-finished anaconda leather is tanned without artificial dyeing, preserving its natural patterns.
In South America, forest development is said to be reducing its population.
Anaconda leather is rarely imported into Japan.
- Wounded Anaconda -
Anaconda leather from the Amazon in South America.
When it absorbs water, the unique pattern of the anaconda becomes more vivid.
For parts that were wounded and had holes, we covered the holes by placing red leather underneath,
aiming for a realistic appearance as if the part was injured and bleeding.
This radically overturns the conventional notion that "damaged leather cannot be used,"
and we hope that by transforming it into a "design only possible with damaged leather" and a "one-of-a-kind model,"
it will inspire a new perspective on leather.
- Chin Frame -
Since its first installation on the Spec of 456 in 2016, the chin frame has undergone continuous subtle improvements.
From the 2020 Spec of 343 DENIIRO and Spec of 278 PATIINO, three line eyes have been installed at intervals of a few millimeters above and below. The chin frame continues to subtly evolve to accommodate a wider range of situations.

-Characteristics of Leather Lures -
When the water absorption is low, the lure will not exhibit its original S-shaped movement.
Users are requested to adjust the weight themselves according to the water temperature and water absorption.
If the water temperature is low, the leather's water absorption is likely to be low, so please add weight to adjust.
Adjusting the weight to match the reel's retrieve speed will prevent the lure from losing its balance.
Due to changes in water temperature, water quality, and water absorption with the changing seasons, the lure may float or sink, allowing you to notice changes in the water conditions of the field.
-Storage and Maintenance of Leather Lures -
・Normally, store in a dry condition.
・After fishing, dry in a well-ventilated area.
・If drying the lure by placing it down, spread newspaper or similar underneath to remove moisture and dry both sides.
・It is recommended to dry the lure by hanging it so that it doesn't touch anything (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
・We recommend making ventilation holes in tackle boxes, etc. (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
