- From the person in charge of the night shift -

In 2012, we discovered a certain characteristic in the Spec of 343 DENIIRO & Spec of 278 PATIINO, which were covered with python leather.
It was that they exhibited a trembling I-shaped movement at low speeds and an S-shaped movement at high speeds.
We speculated that at low speeds, the scales would stand up in the water, causing water to wrap around behind them, resulting in an I-shaped movement, and at high speeds, the scales would lie flat due to water pressure, resulting in an S-shaped movement.

I wondered if the reason fish can stay in the same place in flowing water without swimming hard is due to the reverse current created behind their upright scales.

Since anaconda scales and leather are both thicker and stronger than python,
we proceeded with the production of the Spec of 278 PATIINO, clad in anaconda, with great anticipation of how much this characteristic would be amplified.

This is the largest snake inhabiting South America.
It has large black polka-dot-like markings on an olive-green body, running from head to tail.
Each scale is large, and the leather is firm and thick.
This anaconda, tanned to a matte finish, is undyed, preserving its natural pattern.
In South America, deforestation is advancing, and it is said that the population is decreasing as a result.
Anaconda leather is very rarely imported into Japan.

-Characteristics of Leather Lures-
When the water absorption is low, it will not exhibit its original S-shaped movement.
We ask users to adjust the weight themselves according to the water temperature and water absorption.
If the water temperature is low, the leather's water absorption is likely low, so please add weight to adjust.
Adjusting the weight to match the reel's retrieve speed will help prevent the lure from losing its balance.
Due to changes in water temperature and quality with the seasons, and varying water absorption, the lure may float or sink, allowing you to notice changes in the water in the field.

-Storage and Maintenance of Leather Lures-
・Normally, store in a dry state.
・After fishing, dry in a well-ventilated area.
・When drying the lure, place newspaper or similar underneath to remove moisture and dry both sides.
・It is recommended to dry the lure by hanging it or in a way that it does not touch anything (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
・We recommend drilling ventilation holes in tackle cases, etc. (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
