[MIDDLE WALLET] - Unconventional Window Frame -

A size that doesn't stand out when placed in a back pocket, while offering storage capacity and functionality comparable to a long wallet.
It has been 20 years since this size of wallet was born.
Over these 20 years, various improvements have been made, and the MIDDLE WALLET continues to reign as MW-22.
When held in hand,
When placed in a pocket,
It feels just right,
Perfect in every way.
MW-22 combines 20 years of thought and functionality, embodied in its "medium" size, with horse naked leather.

An unconventional window frame drawn on this canvas,
The Middle Wallet reveals a new look.
A new fusion of horse naked leather and exotic leather.
Please enjoy.

-Horse Nume BLUE VINTAGE-
Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, a company committed to managing all processes from tanning to dyeing and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horse leather, it employs 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning.
Even in modern times where efficiency is prioritized, it continues the time-consuming pit tanning method for horse naked leather.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the shining edge when polished, and the increasing depth of luster with use, all unique to pit-tanned horse naked leather.

The Art of Dyeing
The base color is dyed a vibrant blue, then a transparent, darker blue shade is applied, and finally, paraffin is infused using heat.
This complex three-layer dyeing and finishing process creates the unique hue of this blue vintage.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (crumpling process) is performed to create wrinkles and a frosted appearance.
The crumpling process brings out the rich expressions of the grain surface, resulting from differences in fiber quality across various parts of the leather.

Horse Nume Blue Vintage, made with the wonderful inherent qualities of horse naked leather and the extensive techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather, has been crafted one by one according to our manufacturing standards, aiming to maximize the potential of this horse naked leather.

-Alligator Leather-
Alligators inhabit North and Central/South America.
Biologically, crocodiles and alligators both belong to the order Crocodilia, but they are classified into different families: Crocodilidae and Alligatoridae, with alligators belonging to the Alligatoridae.
Alligators have a very long torso compared to crocodiles, and their lower jaw teeth are not visible from the outside, among other external characteristics.
In the United States, the alligator population drastically decreased in the 1960s, but has now risen to over 5 million thanks to scientific conservation programs.
Under these conservation programs, alligator handlers protect eggs from natural disasters like floods and reduce the risk of predation by raccoons and other enemies. They then release 10% of the hatched eggs back into the wild once they grow to four feet.
Furthermore, farmers and landowners with alligator-inhabited wetlands participate in this program, promoting land maintenance by landowners and improving the environment for flora and fauna.
Alligator is recognized globally as a sustainable material.
This is MANIFOLD's first attempt with this leather.

Indigo Dye
Indigo dyeing, which MANIFOLD has also independently attempted in the past.
Having tried it myself, I understand how challenging this dyeing process is.
Artisans meticulously dye each piece by hand, observing the dye penetration.
Please enjoy the denim-like color change as you use it.

-DETAIL WORKS-
