-RING LIZARD-

A lizard inhabiting watersides throughout Southeast Asia, including Indonesia and the Malay Peninsula.
Its back is covered with round granular scales, and a pattern of circular and dot-like markings lines its back, hence it is called the ring-marked lizard.
It is considered the highest quality among lizard leathers.
Large specimens can exceed 2 meters in length.

Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, to finishing in-house.
This 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned horse hide is recognized globally, founded on their history, love, and pride for horse leather.
Even in an era where efficiency is prioritized, they continue the pit tanning of horse hide, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the lustrous burnished edges, and the deepening sheen with use, all inherent in pit-tanned horse hide.

New Gray Vintage, a year in the making

The horse hide Gray Vintage was realized through the exceptional craftsmanship of Shinki Hikaku.
After approximately a year since the initial prototype, Shinki Hikaku addressed all the issues identified in the prototype samples.

・The density of the leather fibers was adjusted for wallets and small goods, differing from finishes for apparel or bags.
・The adhesion between the grain and flesh sides was increased, resulting in a more compact horse hide.

This resulted in an ideal horse hide finish with minimal grain lift.

The Horse Hide Gray Vintage combines the wonderful inherent qualities of horse hide with the abundant application of Shinki Hikaku's techniques, honed through long years of working with horse leather.
Each piece is meticulously crafted to standards established with the aim of maximizing the potential of this horse hide.

Originally designed for attaching a wallet chain, it became a Manifold eye-catcher and an opportunity for many to discover MANIFOLD.
The Silver Ring features an original silver ring adorned with the familiar "Manifold concho."
