-JACURUXY-
Jacuruxy, a type of lizard
The oval-shaped dorsal scales running from its head to its back resemble a crocodile's back.
Its belly has the same scale pattern as a lizard.
Due to its unique pattern, it is also known as the Caiman Lizard.
It mainly inhabits Brazil and Guyana in South America, but Jacuruxy leather is now difficult to obtain.
Jacuruxy leather large enough to make a long wallet is even rarer.
-Horse Nume GRAY VINTAGE-
Commissioned Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
They inherited the pit tanning of horse Nume, which is recognized worldwide and based on their history, love, and pride for horse leather, using 100% vegetable tannins.
Even in modern times where efficiency is prioritized, they continue to use pit tanning for horse Nume, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture inherent in pit-tanned horse Nume, the shiny edges when polished, and the deeper luster that develops with use.
New Gray Vintage developed over one year
Horse Nume Gray Vintage, realized by the outstanding technology of Shinki Hikaku.
Over approximately one year since last year's prototypes, Shinki Hikaku resolved all issues found in the prototype samples.
・The firmness of the Nume fibers, different from finishes for clothing or bags, was perfected for wallets and small items.
・The adhesion between the grain surface and the flesh side was increased, resulting in a firm horse Nume.
The result is an ideal horse Nume with minimal grain lift.

Horse Nume Gray Vintage, into which the wonderful properties of horse Nume and the technology of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather, have been generously invested.
We meticulously craft each item based on construction standards developed to maximize the potential of this horse Nume.
*Each product made with Gray Vintage will have unique gray hues and variations.
We hope you enjoy this as a characteristic and interesting aspect of the leather.
