Commissioned by Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning to dyeing to finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for its 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning, based on its history, love, and pride for horsehide leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, it inherits horsehide leather that is pit-tanned, which takes the longest time.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel of pit-tanned horsehide leather, the shiny edges that can be polished simply, and the deepening luster with use.

The artistry of dyeing technology
The base color is dyed a vibrant blue, then a translucent dark blue color is dyed on top, and finally paraffin is permeated using heat.
This complex three-layer dyeing and finishing creates the blue vintage color.

The artistry of finishing
After creating a thick luster through glazing, a wrinkling and whitening effect is achieved through揉み (momi) processing.
The揉み (momi) processing allows the rich expression of the grain surface to appear more prominently due to the differences in fiber quality of each part.
