Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning to dyeing and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horsehide, it uses 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanning.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, it continues the time-consuming pit-tanning of horsehide.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the shining edges from simple polishing, and the deepening luster with use, all inherent in pit-tanned horsehide.

The Art of Dyeing
The complex dyeing process that creates the color of this Black Vintage involves dyeing the base in a brownish color without penetrating the core of the horsehide with dye, and then dyeing it with a transparent black on top.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (crumpling process) is applied to create a wrinkled and whitened appearance.
This crumpling process brings out a richer expression of the grain surface due to differences in fiber quality in different areas.

The horsehide Black Vintage is made with the wonderful inherent qualities of horsehide and the extensive technical expertise of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horsehide.
Each item is produced according to a standard of craftsmanship that aims to maximize the potential of this horsehide.

The T-bar, a Manifold-like decoration, makes a long-awaited return to the middle wallet.
Originally conceived for attaching a wallet chain, it became a Manifold eye-catcher and helped many people discover MANIFOLD.
The Silver Ring features an original silver ring adorned with the nostalgic "Manifold Concho."
