-Horse Naked BLACK VINTAGE-
Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for their history, love, and pride in horse leather, they produce 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, they continue the tradition of pit tanning, the most time-consuming method for horse naked leather.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the beautifully polished edges, and the increasing luster that deepens with use, inherent in pit-tanned horse naked leather.

The Art of Dyeing
Without saturating the core of the horse naked leather with dye, the base color is deliberately dyed an uneven black, and then transparent brown tones are applied on top. This complex dyeing process creates the unique color of this Black Vintage.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick, glossy finish through glazing, a crumpling process is applied to create wrinkles and a frosted effect.
This crumpling process brings out a richer expression on the grain surface, varying with the fibrous differences in each part of the leather.

Each item is crafted one by one according to our strict production standards, aiming to maximize the potential of the Black Vintage horse naked leather, which incorporates the wonderful inherent qualities of horse naked leather and the extensive techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather.

-ELEPHANT-
Currently, the elephant leather in circulation comes from African elephants.
It is characterized by large folds and wrinkles that vary by body part, and upon closer inspection, a finely granular, raised grain surface.
The luster increases with use, and the thick elephant leather possesses a profound feel.
By skiving only the edges diagonally, we have created a beautiful edge surface that integrates with the horse naked leather, while preserving the profound feel of the elephant leather.
