Masterful Dyeing Technique
Without fully impregnating the core of the horse leather with dye, the base color is deliberately dyed black with an uneven finish, and then a complex dyeing process with a translucent brown hue on top creates this black vintage color.

Masterful Finishing Technique
After applying a thick sheen through glazing, a揉み加工 (momi-kako, crumpling process) is performed to create wrinkles and a frosted appearance.
This crumpling process brings out a richer expression of the grain surface, differing according to the fiber quality of each part.The horse leather Black Vintage, made with the wonderful natural properties of horse leather and the extensive techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather, is produced one by one based on manufacturing standards that aim to maximize the potential of this horse leather.
