There are over 500 species of sharks worldwide, distributed from shallow to deep seas in tropical and temperate regions across the globe. Over 100 species inhabit Japanese waters. Among these, approximately 20 species can be used for leather. This time, we are using blue shark. Please enjoy the changes that the matte black shark will show as you use it.


-Horse Nume GRAY VINTAGE-
Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, which adheres to the principle of managing all processes from tanning and dyeing to finishing in-house. A world-renowned 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned horse leather, based on their history, love, and pride for horsehide. Even in today's efficiency-driven world, they continue the time-consuming pit tanning process for horse Nume. Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the shining polished edges, and the increasing depth of luster with use, all characteristic of pit-tanned horse Nume.

The new Gray Vintage, a year in the making
The horse Nume Gray vintage, realized through the outstanding technology of Shinki Hikaku-sama.
Over the course of about a year since last year's prototypes, Shinki Hikaku-sama has resolved all the issues found in the prototype samples.

・The firmness of the Nume fibers has been finished for wallets and small goods, differing from the finish for clothing or bags.
・The adhesion between the grain and flesh sides has increased, resulting in a firm horse Nume.

The result is an ideal horse Nume finish with minimal grain lifting.



Each piece is crafted with a standard of construction built to maximize the charm of this horse Nume Gray Vintage, which generously incorporates the wonderful characteristics of horse Nume and the techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long dialogued with horsehide.
