Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, a company whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning to dyeing and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide, based on a history, love, and pride for horsehide, this is 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, we continue the tradition of pit-tanned horse naked leather, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel of pit-tanned horse naked leather, its edges that shine with simple polishing, and the deepening luster as it is used.

The Art of Dyeing Technology
The complex dyeing process that creates the color of this black vintage involves dyeing the core of the horse naked leather in a brown base color without allowing the dye to permeate it, and then applying a translucent black dye over it.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a揉み (momi) process is applied to create wrinkles and a frosted appearance.
The momi process allows the grain surface to more richly express the differences in fiber quality between different parts of the leather.

Horse Naked Leather Black Vintage is the result of generously incorporating the wonderful intrinsic properties of horse naked leather and the techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have been conversing with horsehide for a long time.
Each item is produced with construction standards that aim to maximize the potential of this horse naked leather.

-SALTWATER CR (Small CR)-
A prime example of crocodile leather.
Crocodile with small, beautifully aligned rectangular scales on its belly is considered the highest grade of crocodile leather.
It inhabits brackish waters where rivers and fresh water mix, such as estuaries in Papua New Guinea, Australia, and Indonesia.
This is MANIFOLD's first offering of small crocodile.
