Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, they continue to uphold pit-tanned horsehide, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the shining edges from polishing, and the deepening luster with use, all characteristic of pit-tanned horsehide.

New Gray Vintage, one year in the making.
New Gray Vintage horsehide achieved through Shinki Hikaku's exceptional craftsmanship.
Over approximately one year since last year's prototype, Shinki Hikaku has resolved all issues identified in the prototype samples.

・Unlike finishes for apparel and bags, the tightness of the Nume fibers was adjusted specifically for wallets and small leather goods.
・The adhesion between the grain and flesh sides has increased, resulting in a tighter horse Nume leather.

This resulted in an ideal horse Nume leather with minimal grain lift.

Each item is meticulously crafted to maximize the wonderful inherent qualities of horse Nume leather and the technical expertise of Shinki Hikaku, who have a long history of working with horsehide, resulting in the Horse Nume Gray Vintage.
