[ROUND FASTENER WALLET]
It's been over 10 years since I started making round fastener wallets. The round fastener has now become an indispensable staple item. By using horse hide, we have created a smart yet light wallet that doesn't compromise on storage capacity. The exterior design is inspired by the connection between curves, and between curves and vertices. You will only see the completed form of this wallet once you start using it and fill it with your belongings.
A simple design that highlights its sculptural beauty. The fine texture and lightness of horse hide. I want you to experience both. It was made with that in mind.
-Horse Nume BLACK VINTAGE- Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, to finishing in-house. Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horse leather, it is 100% vegetable-tanned pit leather. Even in modern times where efficiency is prioritized, they continue the pit tanning of horsehide, which is the most time-consuming process. Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel of pit-tanned horsehide, the lustrous edges that shine when polished, and the increasing depth of luster as it is used.
Mastery of Dyeing Techniques The complex dyeing process that creates the color of this Black Vintage involves intentionally creating an uneven black base color without allowing the dye to penetrate the core of the horsehide, and then dyeing it with a translucent brownish color.
Mastery of Finishing Techniques After creating a thick luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (crumpling/rubbing process) is applied to create wrinkles and a whitish effect. This crumpling process brings out a richer expression on the grain surface, due to the differences in fiber quality in different parts of the leather.
Each item is manufactured according to our established standards, aiming to maximize the wonderful characteristics of horse hide and the techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long communicated with horse leather, which they generously invested in this Horse Nume Black Vintage.
