The Art of Dyeing
This black vintage color is created by a complex dyeing process where the base color is intentionally dyed black with an uneven appearance without allowing the dye to penetrate to the core of the horse leather, and then overlaid with a translucent brownish dye.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a rich luster through glazing, a揉み (momi) process is applied to create a wrinkled and whitened appearance.
The揉み (momi) process further accentuates the rich expressions of the grain due to differences in fiber quality in different parts.
