-SMALL CROCODILE-
The quintessential crocodile leather.
Crocodile leather with beautifully arranged rectangular scales on the belly is considered the highest quality among crocodile leathers.
They inhabit brackish waters where estuaries and rivers mix with freshwater, such as in Papua New Guinea, Australia, and Indonesia.
Compared to Nile crocodiles, this species has stronger resistance to saltwater.
Small crocodiles have been overhunted, and currently, those from Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia are listed in Appendix II.
Due to their scarcity and high demand from luxury brands, they are traded at very high prices.
Please enjoy the supple texture and the finely arranged scale patterns of beautiful "takefu" (bamboo joint) and "marufu" (round joint) scales.

The Art of Dyeing (Sumi-dyed)

The crocodile leather, softened and oiled, is dyed by immersing it in a bath of water and sumi ink.
By carefully controlling the bath temperature and hand-dyeing by skilled craftsmen,
the unique vintage and wild feel of natural dyes is expressed.

Sumi ink is difficult to set, and for a long time, sumi-dyed leather faced challenges such as easy fading and color transfer.
However, with the many years of experience, technical expertise, and artistic dyeing skills of this tannery,
they have succeeded in producing sumi-dyed crocodile leather that is resistant to severe fading and color transfer.
The finish has a matte texture, allowing you to enjoy the aging process as the luster increases and the sumi dye color changes with use.


-Horse Nume GRAY VINTAGE-
Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning to dyeing and finishing in-house.
They are recognized worldwide for their 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanning, rooted in a history, love, and pride for horse leather.
Even in today's era where efficiency is prioritized, they continue to preserve pit-tanning for horse leather, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet supple feel, the gleaming edges polished bare, and the deepening luster with use, all inherent in pit-tanned horse Nume leather.

New Gray Vintage, a year in the making 
Horse Nume Gray Vintage, achieved through the exceptional skills of Shinki Hikaku.
It took approximately one year from last year's prototype, during which Shinki Hikaku addressed all the issues found in the prototype samples.

・The leather's fibers were tightened for wallets and small goods, differing from finishes for apparel or bags.
・The adhesion between the grain and flesh sides was enhanced, resulting in a firm horse Nume leather.

And the result was an ideal horse Nume leather with minimal grain lifting.



Each item is crafted one by one based on the standards we have established, aiming to maximize the wonderful properties of horse Nume leather and the techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who have long engaged with horse leather, poured into this Horse Nume Gray Vintage.
