Just like us humans, animals also inevitably sustain injuries in their lives.
They heal their wounds themselves and continue to live.
From each wound, I feel that scars are proof and history of that animal's life.
It is my mission as someone involved in the leather world to be grateful for the lives given and to use every part without waste.
This wounded anaconda leather
will be reborn as a wounded and weakened fish.

In 2012, with the Spec of 343 DENIIRO and Spec of 278 PATIINO covered in python, we discovered a certain characteristic.
That was, a vibrating I-shaped movement at low speeds, and an S-shaped movement at high speeds.
We hypothesized that at low speeds, the scales stand up in the water, causing water to swirl behind them, resulting in an I-shape, and at high speeds, the scales lie flat due to water pressure, resulting in an S-shaped movement.
I wondered if fish could stay in the same place in flowing water without swimming hard, due to the reverse current created behind their standing scales.
Since anaconda scales and leather are thicker and sturdier than python,
I imagined that the same situation might occur with the Spec of 444 DENIIRO, which led to its production.

The largest snake species inhabiting South America.
It has large black polka-dot-like markings on an olive-green body from head to tail.
Each scale is large, and the leather is sufficiently thick.
This matte-finished anaconda leather is undyed, preserving its natural pattern.
In South America, deforestation is advancing, and it is said that the population is decreasing as a result.
Anaconda leather is a rare import to Japan.
- Wounded Anaconda -
Anaconda leather from the Amazon, South America.
When it absorbs water, the unique pattern of the anaconda becomes more vivid.
For parts with wounds and holes, we applied red leather to the back to cover the holes,
to achieve a realistic appearance as if the part were injured and bleeding.
We aim to overturn the conventional view that "damaged leather cannot be used"
and to instill a new perspective on leather by transforming it into "a design possible only with wounds" and "a one-of-a-kind model."
- Chin Frame -
Since the first Spec of 456 in 2016, the chin frame has undergone continuous subtle improvements.
From the 2020 Spec of 343 DENIIRO and Spec of 278 PATIINO, three line eyes have been installed with several millimeters of spacing between them.
The chin frame continues to quietly evolve to be even more adaptable to various situations.

- Characteristics of Leather Lures -
When the water absorption is low, it will not exhibit its original S-shaped movement.
Users are requested to adjust the weight themselves according to the water temperature and water absorption.
If the water temperature is low, the leather's water absorption is likely low, so please add weight to adjust.
Adjusting the weight according to the reel's winding speed helps prevent the lure's balance from being disrupted.
Due to changes in water temperature, water quality, and water absorption with the changing seasons, it may float or sink, allowing you to notice changes in the field's water.
- Storage and Maintenance of Leather Lures -
・Normally, please store in a dry condition.
・After fishing, please dry in a well-ventilated area.
・When drying the lure by placing it down, spread newspaper or similar underneath to remove moisture and dry both sides.
・It is recommended to dry the lure by hanging it so that it does not touch anything (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
・For tackle cases, we recommend making ventilation holes (this helps prevent mold, etc.).
