The main body uses the mane part of extra-thick genuine shrink horsehide.
The metal parts are Dahl plated, which develops a brown core over time.



Half-hides and whole hides

Normal horsehide is half-hide.
Extra-thick genuine shrink is whole hide.

Extra-thick genuine shrink also includes
Cordovan parts
and neck parts.
It's a whole hide.

The mane part is found on the neck.

One side features the dynamic mane part.
The other side offers the three-dimensional feel and calm ambiance unique to genuine shrink.

[Extra-thick Genuine Shrink Horsehide]

One side (German hook side) features the dynamic mane part.


One side features the three-dimensional feel and calm ambiance unique to genuine shrink.


This is a whole hide (one horse).
The mane part visible at the bottom left is located on the neck.
The rump area at the top right also contains the Cordovan layer.

The extra-thick genuine shrink horsehide, which can only be made from horsehide with an original thickness exceeding 2mm, is truly a carefully selected leather. Horsehide possesses both toughness and flexibility in its grain, which are often contradictory elements. We feel that it is a special leather that is strong against pulling and flexible, making it less prone to scratches.



[Dahl Specification]

The metal parts are Dahl plated, which develops a brown core over time.

When it comes to Maniho, it's German hooks.
I first encountered these hooks about 20 years ago.
They don't open when pulled.
They open easily when the knob is pulled.
We use the second generation of German hooks with this specification.
TENAX transitioned to LOXX and is still going strong, Made in Germany.


Dahl plating is also applied to the brass bottom studs.
This might be where the aging of the Dahl plating appears fastest.




[Tote Bag with Bag Functionality]

The interior fabric is black herringbone.

A hidden zipper pocket has been added to the divider.


Side pockets are hanging style.
This specification prevents the outline of items placed in the pockets from appearing on the outside of the bag.
