the main body uses the mane part of thick horse nume shrink leather,
and for the metal parts, a Dahl plating is adopted that develops a brown core over time.

[Thick Horse Nume Shrink Leather]

One side (German hook side) features the dynamic mane area.


One side has the three-dimensional feel and calm atmosphere unique to shrink leather.


This is a whole hide (one horse).
The mane area, located at the neck, can be seen at the bottom left.
The cordovan layer is also present in the hindquarters at the top right.

Thick horse nume shrink leather, which can only be made from horse nume with an original thickness exceeding 2mm, is truly a carefully selected leather.
Horse nume has a grain surface that combines the contradictory elements of toughness and flexibility.
I believe it is a special leather that is resistant to tearing and flexible, making it less prone to scratches.



- Dahl Finish -

For the metal parts, Dahl plating is adopted, which develops a brown core over time.

When it comes to Maniho, it's German hooks.
I encountered these hooks about 20 years ago.
They don't open when pulled.
They open easily when the tab is pulled.
We use the second generation of such German hooks.
Transitioning from TENAX to LOXX, still Made in Germany.


The brass bottom studs also have Dahl plating.
This might be where the aging of Dahl plating appears most quickly.

Interior lining is black herringbone.


Maniho's tote bag overturns the concept of a tote bag as just a simple sack,
incorporating enhanced bag functionality.

First,
a new mechanism with a central partition in the interior.


That partition features a hidden zippered pocket.


The side pockets are hanging style.
This design prevents the outline of items in the pockets from appearing on the outside of the bag.

One side has two vertical pockets for smartphones.

The other side has a horizontal pocket for small items like mobile batteries.
