Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, to finishing in-house. 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning recognized worldwide, based on a history, love, and pride for horse leather. Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, we continue to use pit tanning for horse hide, which is the most time-consuming process. Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel of pit-tanned horse hide, the lustrous edge created by polishing, and the deepening sheen with use.
The Exquisite Art of Dyeing
The base color is dyed in a brown shade without impregnating the core of the horse hide with dye, and then a translucent black color is dyed on top of it. This complex dyeing process creates the unique color of this black vintage.
The Exquisite Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a crumpling process is applied to create wrinkles and a frosted effect. The crumpling process makes the grain surface more richly expressive due to differences in fiber quality depending on the part of the hide. Each piece is crafted with the aim of maximizing the inherent charm of horse hide, utilizing the extensive expertise of Shinki Hikaku, who has long engaged with horse leather, and adhering to our established manufacturing standards.

Known as the Diamond Python due to its continuous diamond-shaped patterns all over its body.
This particular piece features a back-cut type that utilizes the belly, with a green gradation dye.
Unlike the wild diamond-shaped patterns on the back, the beautiful gradation dyeing highlights the large scales on the belly.
The finish evokes both wildness and elegance.
