Horsehide has a strong yet flexible grain (gin-men) with contradictory elements.

Horsehide by Shinki Hikaku is [Delicate yet strong, and versatile].
These contradictory elements are the essence of horsehide.
The fibers are very fine, and the tensile strength of the grain far exceeds that of cowhide.
The changes in expression and texture due to finishing are diverse.
I believe it is a special leather that is strong against pulling and flexible, making it resistant to scratches.



The interior uses thick horsehide with a brown core and wax finish in black.
The edges are polished with the brown core.
The stitching is black.
A black with an antique feel where the underlying color faintly shows through.
You can enjoy the contrast with the jet-black of the extra-thick shrink leather.
