For the 2026 TEST SAMPLE,
Darl plating, which develops a brown core over time, is used for the metal parts.

The name "Darl plating" is said to be derived from the English word "Dark" or its dark hue, "Darl."

Historically, Darl had various color variations and was widely used in the Japanese furniture industry from the 1960s to the 1970s as a luxurious decorative finish.

The manufacturing method involves thinly plating brass or copper with black.
When new, the appearance is not just black, but creates subtle gradations with color unevenness and light.
As it is used, the metal parts develop a brown core texture, which is a characteristic of Darl plating.

Horse Nume Extra Thick Shrink Leather, which can only be made from extra-thick horse nume leather with a raw thickness exceeding 2mm, can truly be called carefully selected leather.
Horse nume leather has a grain (ginmen) with contradictory elements: strong yet flexible.
I feel that it is a special leather that is strong against tension and flexible, making it resistant to scratches.
The finish allows you to truly feel the strength of the leather.



When producing belts from Horse Nume Extra Thick Shrink Leather, each piece is laminated.
By skiving the edge, approximately 8mm, at an angle, we perform a painstaking process to create a beautiful edge surface that integrates with the base belt of the strongest nume (two steps before final processing), while still utilizing the thick and substantial feel of the Horse Nume Extra Thick Shrink Leather.
