Over these 20 years, various improvements have been made, and the MIDDLE WALLET, currently reigning as MW-22.

The MW-22 embodies 20 years of thought and functionality within its "medium" size, now fused with horse leather.

- Horse Nume BLACK VINTAGE -
Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning and dyeing to finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horse leather, it uses 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, it continues the time-consuming pit tanning method for horse Nume leather.
Please enjoy the core firmness, flexibility, lustrous edge that shines with simple polishing, and the deepening sheen with use, all inherent in pit-tanned horse Nume leather.

The master skill of dyeing
Without permeating the dye into the core of the horse Nume leather, the base color is dyed brown, and then a complex dyeing process with a transparent black dye creates the color of this Black Vintage.

The master skill of finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (rubbing process) is applied to create a wrinkled and whitish appearance.
This rubbing process further enhances the rich expression of the grain surface, which varies depending on the fiber quality of each part.

We craft each item one by one, adhering to our manufacturing standards that aim to maximize the wonderful inherent qualities of horse Nume leather and the techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who has conversed with horse leather for a long time, generously applied to Horse Nume Black Vintage.


- OSTRICH LEG -
The ostrich is the largest extant bird that cannot fly.
It inhabits the African continent with its own unique characteristics.
Ostriches are large, reaching about 2.5 meters in height and weighing 120 kilograms, but they are exceptionally good runners.
The leather from their legs is Ostrich Leg.
It is characterized by a scaly pattern similar to that of reptiles.
Because it is a long and narrow leather, the products that can be made are limited, but it is a leather that has a presence comparable to croc or jacaré.


- DETAIL WORKS -
T-bar & Silver ring
The T-bar, a Manihow-like decoration, makes a reappearance on the Middle Wallet after a long time.
Originally conceived for attaching a wallet rope, it became Manihow's eye-catcher and helped many people discover MANIFOLD.
For the Silver Ring, we use an original silver ring featuring the nostalgic "Manihow concho."
