There are over 500 species of sharks worldwide, distributed from shallow tropical and temperate seas to the deep sea globally.
Over 100 species inhabit the waters around Japan.
About 20 of these species can be used for leather.
This product uses blue shark leather.

-Horse Vegetable-tanned GRAY VINTAGE-
Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, to finishing in-house.
Recognized globally for its 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning, based on a history, love, and pride for horse leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, they continue the pit tanning of horse leather, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible texture, the shining burnished edges, and the increasing depth of luster with use, inherent in this pit-tanned horse leather.

New Gray Vintage, a year in the making
The horse vegetable-tanned Gray Vintage was made possible by the outstanding craftsmanship of Shinki Hikaku.
All issues identified in prototype samples from last year were improved by Shinki Hikaku over approximately one year.

・The leather fiber tightness, different from finishes for clothing or bags, was perfected for wallets and small items.
・Increased adhesion between the grain and flesh sides resulted in a tighter horse vegetable-tanned leather.

The result is an ideal horse vegetable-tanned leather with minimal grain lift.

Each item is meticulously crafted to maximize the wonderful properties of horse vegetable-tanned leather and the expertise of Shinki Hikaku, who have long worked with horse leather, poured into the Gray Vintage.

The T-bar is a characteristic MANIFOLD embellishment on the middle wallet.
Originally conceived for attaching a wallet chain, it has become a MANIFOLD eye-catcher, introducing many people to our brand.
The silver ring features our original "Manifo Concho," also known affectionately, as a charming detail.
