Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horse leather, this is 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, it inherits the pit-tanning method for horse nume leather, which takes the most time.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel, the lustrous edge polished without special treatment, and the deepening shine with use, all characteristic of pit-tanned horse nume leather.

The Art of Dyeing
Without soaking the dye into the core of the horse nume, the base color is deliberately dyed with a mottled black, and then a translucent brown is dyed over it. This complex dyeing process creates the color of this Black Vintage.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a rich luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (crumpling process) is applied to create a wrinkled and whitened appearance.
The揉み加工 (crumpling process) brings out the richer expression of the grain surface due to differences in fiber quality in each part.

Currently, the elephant leather distributed is from African elephants.
It is characterized by large folds and wrinkles that vary depending on the part, and upon closer inspection, a fine granular, raised grain surface (epidermis).
