Commissioned to Shinki Hikaku, a company whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning to dyeing and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for their history, love, and pride in horse leather, they use 100% vegetable-tanned pit tanning.
Even in modern times where efficiency is prioritized, they continue the tradition of pit tanning for horse naked leather, which is the most time-consuming process.
Please enjoy the firm yet supple texture, the lustrous edge that shines with simple polishing, and the deepening sheen with use, all characteristic of pit-tanned horse naked leather.

The Art of Dyeing
Without allowing the dye to penetrate to the core of the horse naked leather, the base color is dyed a brownish shade, and then a transparent black is applied over it. This complex dyeing process creates the unique color of this Black Vintage.

The Art of Finishing
After achieving a thick luster through glazing, a揉み加工 (crumpling/kneading process) is applied to create wrinkles and a frosted effect.
This揉み加工 brings out the rich surface texture, which varies depending on the fiber quality of each part of the leather.

Black Vintage horse naked leather is made with the wonderful natural qualities of horse naked leather and the abundant techniques of Shinki Hikaku, who has a long history of working with horse leather.
Each item is meticulously crafted according to our production standards, which are designed to maximize the potential of this horse naked leather.

-Reticulated Python (Diamond Python)-
Known as Diamond Python due to the continuous diamond-shaped patterns and markings covering its entire body.
This particular piece has been black-dyed, utilizing the belly part in a back-cut style.
The combination of the solid black dyeing and the subtle presence exuded by the python scales, centered around the large scales of the belly, creates a finish that is both wild and elegant.
