Commissioned from Shinki Hikaku, whose philosophy is to manage all processes from tanning, dyeing, and finishing in-house.
Recognized worldwide for its history, love, and pride in horse leather, it is a 100% vegetable-tanned pit-tanned leather.
Even in an age where efficiency is prioritized, Shinki Hikaku continues to use pit tanning for horse leather, which takes the longest time.
Please enjoy the firm yet flexible feel, the lustrous polished edges, and the increasing depth of luster with use, all characteristic of pit-tanned horse leather.

Mastery of Dyeing Techniques
The base color is dyed a vibrant blue, then a translucent dark blue is applied, and finally, paraffin is infused using heat.
This complex 3-layer dyeing and finishing process creates the unique blue vintage color.

Mastery of Finishing Techniques
After glazing to create a thick, glossy finish, a揉み加工 (crumpling process) is performed to create wrinkles and a frosted appearance.
The crumpling process accentuates the differences in grain expression due to varying fiber structures in different parts of the leather.

Horse Nume Blue Vintage, made with the wonderful inherent qualities of horse nume leather and the unstinting application of techniques from Shinki Hikaku, which has a long history of working with horse leather.
Each item is produced one by one based on our manufacturing standards, which have been established with the aim of maximizing the potential of this horse nume leather.

Crocodile leather has been widely used in Japan since ancient times.
New Guinea crocodiles (large crocs) inhabit freshwater swamps and rivers in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
The scales on the belly are almost square, and their size is larger than those of saltwater crocodiles (small crocs), hence they are called large crocs.
While most crocodiles are farmed, many large crocs are wild.
This time, we used the jaw portion for production.
You can enjoy a dynamic atmosphere, which is different from the scales on the belly.
